Linda Edna Cardellini's parents are businessmen Wayne David Cardellini and Lorraine (Hernan). Her parents were born at Redwood City in California. Linda is Italian (from paternal grandsons), Irish (from a mother), German and English. Linda was raised in the San Francisco Bay area, California, the youngest of four kids. Her interest in acting began in the age of ten when she was a singer in the school's Christmas show. She performed in school plays and local community theatre. Linda attended Saint Francis High School, Mountain View in California. She had to choose among New York for theater and Los Angeles for film and television after she graduated. LA was the best option for her. Linda played her first major character in Bone Chillers, a 1996 television show. The year 1999 saw her land her first role of major importance as Lindsay Weir in the series Freaks and Geeks. Lindsay Weir was her character in the Emmy-winning show.

Lily James, born Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson in 1989 (born April 5th), is a English actress. She trained as an actor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London before launching her acting career on the British television series Just William (2010). After her character in the role of Lady Rose MacClare in the period drama series Downton Abbey (2012-2015), her breakout role was the title role in the fantasy film Cinderella (2015). James was later cast as the role of Countess Natasha Rostova in the television adaptation of War & Peace (2016) and starred in several films. These included the action-packed film Baby Driver (2017), the period dramas Darkest Hour (2017), The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (2018) and The Dig (2021), as well as the musicals Mamma Mia! We Go Back Again (2018), and Yesterday (2019). Her performance as Pamela Anderson was recognized with the Golden Globe nomination and a Primetime Emmy Award.
